Negombo to Anuradhapura

* After breakfast proceed to Anuradhapura
* Evening visit Wilpattu National park

Wilpattu national park is located on the west coast of Anuradhapura. Natural lakes in Wilpattu contains rain water and are important for residence and migratory birds.

The tour in Wilpattu gives an exposure to the natural beauty: Wildlife, Birdlife, Reptiles and Amphibians, Flora and climate.

Anuradhapura to Sigiriya

Anuradhapura is one of the major cities in Sri Lanka and capital city of North Central Province. You can visit many historical places in Anuradhapura including Ruwanwelisaya, Thuparamaya, Jetavanaramaya, Isurumuniya and Mirisavety stupa.

It is believed that the Buddhist monk Mahinda, son of Emperor Ashoka of India, and King Devanampiyatissa met each other in Mihinthale. This meeting caused the commencing of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.

Sigiriya

Pollonnaruwa encompasses Brahmanic monuments built by the Cholas, the monumental ruins of the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century. The places to visit in Pollonnaruwa are as follows: Gal Viharaya, The Royal Palace of King Parakramabahu, Dalada Maluwa Pollonnaruwa, Pollonnaruwa Archaeological Museum and Etc.

Hiking of Sigiriaya rock takes approximately 1 hour each way. It’s about 1200 steps to reach the peak where you will be experiencing a majesty as one of the Sri Lanka’s UNESCO world heritage sites.

Sigiriya to Kandy

Dambulla cave temple is the largest and best preserved temple in Sri Lanka. There are 157 Buddha statues in different sizes and attitudes.

Kandy is a must-see in Sri Lanka as it has been a UNESCO world heritage sites since 1988 and is the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. The Temple of the Tooth is located in the Royal Palace Complex where the relic of the Tooth of the Lord Buddha is enshrined.

Kandy to Ella

The hike leads through scrub, tea plantation and mixed and coniferous forests. This was constructed by connecting two bog mountains and it is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in Sri Lanka. In Demodara, the railroad is designed to take a bend around the mountain and then go below the railway station because of the geographic situation of the nearby mountains.

Little Adam Peak is popular for its extraordinary views and relatively easy hiking trail.

Ella to Yala

Ravana waterfall is a marvellous landscape and it is best view from the road side. It is ranked as one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka.

Yala to Udawalawa

The Udawalawa National Park is located in the southern part of Sri Lanka. It is a sanctuary for wild animals and you can spot animals such as elephant, crocodiles, buffalo, deer, leopards and exotic birds.

In Vavulpane Bats Cave, the entire ceiling is as densely covered with hanging bats and the floor is covered with their excrement. It is estimated as 250,000 bats are living in this cave.
