The Udawalawe National Park is located in the southern part of Sri Lanka.
The access to Udawalawe National park from Colombo via expressway takes 3 hours 39 minutes (257km), from Galle to Udawalawe 2 hours 6 minutes (127 km), Ella to Udawalawe 1hour 56 minutes (90km).
The park is a habitat to mongooses, jackals, water monitor lizards, lots of crocodiles, sloth bears and the occasional leopard and exotic birds. It is recommended to spend even one night here, which enables to provide opportunity for early morning and evening safaris. This gives you a chance to observe and spot more animals.
